Case Studies First Playdale Play Area Installed in Singapore! The first Playdale play area is now installed in Singapore, as Tanglin Trust School becomes the flagship Playdale site in the country. The international school now has an exciting playground for pupils to enjoy for years to come. The Head Teacher initially wanted to use a local contractor for the project, but the British-based-curriculum school had heard of Playdale’s reputation for building outstanding play equipment. As part of our service we sent a member of our Installation Team to Singapore to oversee the installation with our distributor, Playwkz, and provide training and advice to their team. Tanglin’s play area now looks great and we are confident that it will be the first of many in the country. Geraldine Chandran, Head of Infant School, said: “We felt your understanding of the needs of our youngest children were reflected in the plans presented, providing sufficient challenge for the developmental stages of the children’s physical and creative development. We have now experienced one full week of the Nursery and Reception children accessing the playground and what a voyage of discovery and adventure it has been for children and teachers!” Opening Day a Great Success The opening of a new Playdale play area in Holt has delighted families in the area following a determined three year campaign to raise funds. Families flooded to the official opening of the Peacock Lane Play Area as children were excited to get their hands on their new equipment. The project was a complete overhaul and re-landscape of the old play area that featured a few pieces of old equipment. The playground now showcases a Jungle Climber, Little Hamlet, Embankment Slide and Timber Team Swing. The playground was funded by Holt Town Council, the Norfolk Big Society Fund and a number of private donations, which came to a fantastic total of £50,000. Di Dann, Town Clerk for Holt Town Council, is delighted with the play area and the work that they have received from Playdale, saying: “We are so excited about it and have had some tremendous feedback from local Mums, Dads, Grans and Kiddies. We would like to thank everyone from Will Desborough to the Technical Team and praise the efficiency of everyone at Haverthwaite for their helpfulness and kindness throughout. “Everything slotted in well with the project and we don’t underestimate the amount of planning involved to do this. Our big thanks must also go to your own contractors who were a delight to work with.
